The drum led is still on or flashing after i replace the drum unit with a new one.

To reset the drum counter follow the instructions below. The drum led flashes if the drum unit is near the end of its life. The fuser cover is securely closed however the status led is on in red. Close the front cover.

When a new drum is inserted into a brother hl 5250dn you must reset the drum counter. Once all four leds are lit release go. To reset the drum counter press and hold down go for about 4 seconds until all the leds light up.
